This last week has been a real mix for us, for as much as we've enjoyed spending quality time with friends, we've also had heartbreaking news; our neighbors lost their five year-old daughter, Charlotte, when she drowned in a family friend's pool. Charlotte was a joyful, friendly girl who wanted Zada to come over for kool-aid on her deck and picked up garbage at the park so the earth wouldn't get sick. She wore glasses and her brown hair long. She had a younger sister and brother to play with, both of whom look like her. We'll miss her a great deal, not only because of the wonderful impression she made on us in the short time we knew her, but also because of the impact such a thoughtful sweetheart would have had on our family for the long-term.
We're doing our best to talk through this situation with Zada and Darby and have the opportunity to do so quite often since her family lives just two doors away. Please keep them and all those who experience such a loss in your prayers.
