Mega mounds of mulch
Starting at 6:20 this morning trucks were unloading mulch for the park behind our house. While this is an arrival to be celebrated, the early hour of delivery combined with our first night of open windows since probably mid-June was not immediately viewed as such a blessing. Oh well, at least the kids' crash landings at the park will be softened and likely more aromatic.
Speaking of aromas, everything smells like Easter eggs around here as I took the opportunity to wash my office windows today. You may think this sounds like another crazy housewife routine given that these windows are only a few months old, but unfortunately some misguided sprinklers strafed them with hard water stains during our first few weeks with the sod. I started cleaning them with equal parts vinegar and water and then stepped it up a bit with the vinegar to really get after the more resilient stains. The windows are much improved, I think, and combined with my wiping out of the basement refrigerator yesterday I am on a deep cleaning roll. Next up? Who knows, maybe a nap. (sigh)
