With all-day everyday kindergarten looming, I'm enjoying some fun times with this friendly face.

Mermaid!

Zada brought The Mermaid Game to her school's Arts and Academic Expo tonight. She chose to participate in the games category, knowing she would have to create a board, pieces and her own rules. My involvement was limited to brainstorming and buying supplies. (I think in the movie biz they call that producing.) I'm very proud of her effort.

All in a day's work

I have my work cut out for me, spending the afternoons with Darby. Yesterday he pulled out almost every game in the cupboard for us to play. We got through most of these, with a few breaks worked in for snacks and silly faces.

Music and M&Ms

Nothing gets things moving around here like music. The kids and I made M&M cookies yesterday to the beats of "I like to move it, move it."

Darby was at his chores early this morning. Please note the array of tools he brought to the job, Swiffer, hook, telescope, phone. He is ready and taking no prisoners! Argh!

Fresh play dough

Everybody loves fresh play dough! These two batches went to Darby's preschool.

Basketball Tuesdays

Darby wrapped his first session of community ed basketball Tuesday night with a game versus the parents/siblings. Zada played for our family.
