First camping trip a success

We recently bought a pop-up camper and used it for the first time this weekend. We stayed very dry and warm in spite of the intermittent showers during the day and a couple nighttime thunderstorms.

Take me to the river

I took the kids to a park program yesterday where they learned all about boats on the Mississippi River. Among other things they tried throwing "boats" (pieces of wood) and rocks into the river to see if those pieces would sink or float.

T-ballers

The kids attended their first T-ball practice last night, which reminds me I need to wash their shirts and label their gloves before their second practice tomorrow night.

Zada had her friend Taylor over today, and she brought these yummy cupcakes!

We finally finished our Family Fun badge for preserving family memories. If you look close enough at the leaves on this tree decal, you will see our family members displayed. We have two leaves left for any players yet to be named. (note: there won't be any announcements of this type from our particular branch of the tree)
